Actavis Totowa, the pharmaceutical company that manufactures Digitek digoxin tablets, has issued a recall for the product after it was discovered that many tablets contain a double dose of digoxin. An overdose of this drug can have catastrophic consequences for patients, including nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, cardiac instability, bradycardia, and in severe cases, death.
